5 Strategies for Keeping Fit in Your Mid-40s

I know how hard it can be to keep lean and fit - especially as a busy mom over 40!
But I also know that it is absolutely do-able! Every habit I implement is a habit you can implement as well, and there is absolutely no reason that you could not reach your health & fitness goals in 2024. 🌟

Here are my top 5 lifestyle habits for keeping lean and fit over 40:

🌟Strength Training & HIIT

There’s a reason I structure SoulStrength Fit workouts the way I do. Strength training and HIIT (high intensity interval training) are proven strategies for developing and maintaining a strong, lean physique. I train hard 3-4 days a week, and also prioritize walking, hiking, and stretching.

🌟Proper Use of Intermittent Fasting

Utilizing intermittent fasting has truly changed my body - and my relationship with food. I have learned along the way the fasting techniques that are easiest to maintain, and that help me prevent plateaus. 

🌟A Gallon of Water a Day

I get this from just loads of plain water during and after my workout, but also in the drinks I make myself, like large servings of water with branched chain amino acids or some apple cider vinegar and stevia for taste.

🌟Sticking to a Mostly Paleo Diet

For the most part, I eat a diet that focuses on lean meat, eggs, & protein powder as protein sources, vegetables and some fruits for carbs, and nuts, seeds, avocado and healthy oils for fats.

🌟Managing My Calories and Macros

I keep track of these numbers so that I know that I’m staying on track. I’ve found ways to make this super quick and easy.
